Take the Pledge to Vote for the Freedom to Read

When I vote, I will consider candidates who support libraries and the freedom to read.

I understand that everyone running for office, from the President to the local legislators in my community, are the people who make decisions about the freedom to read. I also understand that my own vote matters this year and for future generations of Americans.

1. Books transcend political parties and politics.
2. The freedom to read is critical to a functioning democracy.
